Privacy Policy

• Account details. Your email address and the username you choose. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your email address and basic profile information from that provider, never your password. Apple lets you hide your real email behind a private relay address, and that works here.
• Profile picture. If you choose to upload one, we store it and show it wherever your profile appears. Uploading is optional.
• Game activity. Your wagers, picks, stakes, balance, and transaction history within the game.
• Operational records. Session cookies that keep you signed in, and rate-limiting records that stop abuse of the wager endpoints.

We do not collect payment details, because nothing in KOIN costs money.

KOIN is a competitive leaderboard, so some of your activity is visible to everyone, including people who aren't signed in:

• Your username, profile picture (if you upload one), balance, and league standing.
• Your wagers on a fight after that fight has settled.

Your open wagers stay private until settlement. Nobody can see your pick while betting is still live. Your email address is never shown publicly. Choose a username you're comfortable being seen.

We use a small number of service providers to operate KOIN. They process data on our behalf; we don't sell or rent it to anyone.

• Supabase: database, authentication, and session management.
• Vercel: application hosting and delivery.
• Google: only if you choose to sign in with Google.
• Apple: only if you choose to sign in with Apple.
• Resend: sends account emails such as sign-up confirmation and password resets.

We use cookies for one purpose: keeping you signed in. There are no advertising, profiling, or cross-site tracking cookies. Clearing them signs you out.

• Access or correct your account details from your profile page.
• Delete your account at any time from your profile page, in the iOS app or on the web. Deletion is immediate and removes your account, personal data, and profile picture. Settled wagers may be retained in anonymised form so historical leaderboards stay consistent. If you prefer, you can also email us and we'll delete it for you.
• Stop account emails by deleting your account. We only send transactional messages (confirmation, password reset), never marketing.

We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. Operational logs are kept only as long as they're useful for debugging and abuse prevention.

KOIN is intended for users 18 and over. Although no real money is involved, the game simulates wagering. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18; if you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we'll remove it.
